  1.  Discovery & Acceptance

The first step of our Engagement Process is to "discover" our clients. We explore all aspect of their business related to the project, including opportunities and fears; advantages and hurtles; dreams and realities. We gather important intelligence about their products and services; mission, vision and values; customers; industry trends; operations; and competitive landscape. During this discovery we ask questions, we listen and, most importantly, we learn. We believe this emersion into our client's world is the critical first step in becoming a strategic partner with each client.

By acceptance, we mean getting ‘everyone on the same page’.  We generally recommend a client project team that includes members from management, the end users, and the technical staff.  We know that without consensus of all users, the information value will decrease.

Successful projects begin with proper expectation setting and developing a team approach.

 
   
  2.  Analysis

Finding, Verifying, Documenting…

When we engage a new client, much effort goes into gathering all of the pertinent facts.  Working closely with our clients, we conduct a comprehensive analysis of the strategies and plans we've developed before ever moving forward. Our experience has shown that our clients provide valuable insight and expertise, and we make a point of leveraging that intelligence.

Through a series of meetings with the team identified in the step 1 of the project, we get deeply involved in the business issues to be solved.  We may use one-on-one interviews, user feedback meetings, demonstrations and forums.  The goal is to verify and document problems and generate a list of potential opportunities.   We'll ask hundreds of questions, many seeming to have nothing to do with information or computers.  But these questions are designed to insure a complete picture of your information system needs.  We will then document your system in the form of system inventories, system diagrams, and other tools.

 
   
 

3.  Definition & Design

Through our unique talents, which blend years of experience with fresh perspective; strategy with creativity and expertise with innovation, Forbes designs and architects powerful strategies, solutions, ideas and programs to reach our client’s objectives and meet expectations.  By creating specific parameters that define the issues at hand, we can insure that a perfect fit between problem and solution can be designed in from the start.

 
 

4.  Selection

Often a Technology Plan will leave room for further decisions related to the selection of various options, features, products, vendors or partners.  We research the choices and present informed recommendations so that you may make intelligent decisions along the way.  We have many existing contacts and relationships within the Information Technology industry, which we leverage for you to the best results for your project.  Where the choices involve new areas, we will seek out the ‘best of the best’ to save you time and money in making your selection decisions.

 
 

5.  Implementation

Once the Technology Plan is complete, the design process starts all over again, as we help our clients find the best methods of implementation.  Because we have our own technical resources and have the experience in working with equipment and services vendors, we can offer first-hand advice on the process of implementation.  Often, project management is a key factor that will keep the project on target and on budget.

 
 

6.  Evaluation & Enhancements

Every program, strategy and/or project concludes with an in-depth evaluation of its effectiveness. We utilize the last step of our Engagement process to assess and enhance our recommendations and outcomes.
